I'm 23, a Believer and I do Life in Dallas. I'm from a huge town of just under 1,000 in rural Missouri full of hard working good ol' folks. I'm a nurse and currently work for a non-for profit hospice company in Dallas, where I take care of the cutest terminally ill babies on the planet. My story is one of RESCUE and Psalm 40:2 is a verse He tattooed on my heart..."He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along". Rescued by the King of Kings, waiting expectantly for His GREATER GLORY!

I am a firm believer in doing things for a cause bigger than yourself. Last summer I spent a week in Africa and it changed my life. We take so much for granted and it has totally allowed me to see how God blesses you through the smallest things. The Adventure Project is waging war on rural hunger by supporting small farmers through the cost effective Kickstart irrigation pump. Having one of these pumps literally has the potential to increase a rural farmers income by 1000%. No, that is not a typo, 1000%. Oh, how this could change the face of poverty and hunger in Africa.

Being from a rural MO farm community I have seen first hand how much farming can change a community/city/country. You don't have to go around the world to help change their world, you can bring change right here in your living room by supporting The Adventure Project. Simple, just go to www.theadventureproject.org/oneto1000.
