Private law tutors are successful at what they do because of the nature of the LLB syllabus. The LLB

syllabus is fixed by its core subjects and while each university may focus on different aspects of the

law, most of what is taught is the same. Thus your average tutor is equipped to teach students from all

kinds of different universities once he has learned contract law, tort law, equity etc.
