Kay Oddone
Educator, Researcher, and Consultant in Brisbane, Australia
I am the Course Director of the Master of Education (Teacher Librarianship) in the School of Information and Communications at Charles Sturt University, New South Wales Australia.
My research emphasis lies in information and digital literacies, cultivated through networked and connected learning.
I am passionate about promoting the role of school libraries and the value school library staff contribute to the entire school community.
I have over 25 years of experience as an educator, and I have taught at all levels, ranging from Prep (4 year olds) to Post-Graduate. I have experience as a Classroom Teacher, Assistant Principal, Teacher Librarian, Learning Designer and Lecturer.
In addition to my PhD, I have a Graduate Certificate in ICT in Education, a Master of Education in Teacher Librarianship and a Graduate Diploma of Education, as well as a Bachelor of Business majoring in Human Resource Management and Psychology.
My work has been published nationally and internationally and I am an experienced speaker and workshop facilitator, with national and international speaking experience.
