I am currently a lecturer in the Faculty of Education at QUT. My areas of expertise focuses on how we enhance learning experiences and create new knowledge using social technologies. My publications and research centre around the areas of critical and digital literacies, developed through networked and connected learning.
I lecture in the areas of Connected Learning, Inquiry Learning and Teacher Librarianship and I am the study area coordinator for Teacher Librarianship in the Master of Education.
I have over 20 years' experience in Education, and have held roles of classroom teacher, curriculum co-ordinator, teacher-librarian, deputy principal and acting principal.
In addition to my PhD, I have a Graduate Certificate in ICT in Education, a Master of Education in Teacher Librarianship and a Graduate Diploma of Education, as well as a Bachelor of Business majoring in Human Resource Management and Psychology.
I am passionate about learning, new technologies, information and critical literacy and am an experienced speaker and workshop facilitator, with national and international speaking experience.
