Kofi Adu Domfeh is a multiple award-winning Development Journalist and communications professional, with two decades of experience. He is a Media Trainer, Social Entrepreneur, Environmental Advocate, Climate Reality Leader and a Global Goodwill Ambassador.

He is the News Editor with The Multimedia Group (Luv Fm & Nhyira Fm) and Heads the Science and Environment Desk at JoyNews. He is also the Ghana Bureau Chief of AfricaClimateReports.com, a leading African online newspaper focused on climate change, environment and sustainable development.

Domfeh previously worked as the Northern Bureau Chief at Media General Group and the Ghana correspondent at UK-based WRENmedia Limited.

His reporting assignments span projects in Cameroon, Ethiopia, France, Germany, Ghana, Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria, Peru, Russia, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa, Spain, Tanzania, UAE, Uganda, USA, Zambia and Zimbabwe – with reporting interest within the Science, Environment and Agricultural (SEA) nexus for Sustainable Development.

Domfeh was honoured for exemplary and inspiring journalism at the 2019 Ashanti GJA Media Awards. He won the 2015 APO Energy Media Awards in Dubai, UAE. He emerged Overall Winner in the 2015 IFEJ-Flamingo Awards for Business and Financial Journalism in Ghana. In 2014, he won the African Climate Change and Environment Reporting (ACCER) Awards in Kenya.

Domfeh has had media contracts with the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) for production of CCDA-Live; the NEPAD Agency of the African Union Commission – working on projects under CAADP and TerrAfrica; UN Environment on the EU-UNEP Africa LEDS Project; the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA); African Group of Negotiators on Climate Change (AGN) on SB58 & COP28 communication; and the Pan-African Climate Justice Alliance (PACJA) for special reporting and communication projects.

Domfeh is engaged in outreach programmes in schools and communities, speaking on environmental protection, climate justice and sustainable development issues. He founded the Climate Livelihoods and Agriculture Platform (CLAP Gh) as a unique collaborative platform for community action.

Domfeh holds a Master’s Degree in Development Planning & Management, Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Social Work as well as Diploma qualifications in Journalism, ICT, and Business Economics and Commerce.
