Kodwo “Kojo” Mills sources and facilitates investment opportunities in sub-Saharan Africa as the managing partner at the Invictus Africa Group in Washington, DC. Kojo Mills entered the financial services industry as an analyst at Salomon Brothers after earning his bachelor of arts degree in economics at Georgetown University.
Mr. Mills subsequently pursued an MBA at Harvard Business School, where he was a Toigo Scholar. After receiving his graduate degree, Mr. Mills accepted an executive position as an associate (later promoted to vice president) of Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. There, he began doing business in Africa with African Merchant Bank Limited, DLJ's partner there.
Continuing as a liaison to African markets as cofounder and managing director of private equity for the Shanduka Group, Mr. Mills oversaw all fund management functions and served as a board member for 15 African organizations. Now leading at the Invictus Africa Group, Kojo Mills, who is half Ghanaian and half American, has spent approximately half of his life in Ghana & South Africa and the other half in America.
