Δημοσθενης Κοκκαλιδης

Dimosthenis Kokkalidis was born in Thessaloniki on the 12th of August 1975. He lives in Asvestohori (Thessaloniki) with his wife Anastasia Tei and their daughters, Amalia and Vasiliki.

He is an IT graduate of the Department of Applied Informatics of the University of Macedonia and a holder of the postgraduate degree in Business Informatics of the same University. He holds also an MSc in Engineering Business Management of the University of Warwick, UK. Recently, he has completed the postgraduate program "Adult Education" at the Hellenic Open University (EAP). At the moment, he attends the undergraduate program in the school of Political Sciences at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

In the past, he worked as a deputy IT teacher in public secondary education (2001-2003). Since 2002, he has taught in almost all Vocational Training Institutes in Thessaloniki, in Centers for Lifelong Learning (KDBM) of Thessaloniki, Pilea-Chortiatis, Kalamaria and Neapolis, as well as in several private Vocational Training Centers (former KEK). At the beginning of 2003 he was appointed through ASEP to the General Hospital of Thessaloniki, Agios Pavlos, serving as Head of the IT Department from 2010. From March 2022, he serves in the position of Inspector-Auditor at the National Transparency Authority in the Regional Agency of Thessaloniki.

At the same time, he is a certified Adult Trainer and a lecturer at the Institute for Training of the National Public Administration Center (EKDD). He speaks English fluently and German fairly well. He is a member of the Panhellenic Scientific Association of Health Informatics and the Adult Education Association. Member of the Parents & Guardian Associations of nursery schools (2016-18) and primary schools (2018 - today) Asvestochori. Volunteer in "Hamogelo tou paidiou". In the past, he has been an amateur basketball athlete.
