Dimosthenis Kokkalidis

Dimosthenis Kokkalidis was born in Thessaloniki on August 12, 1975. He lives in Asvestochori (Thessaloniki) with his wife Anastasia Tei and their daughters, Amalia and Vasiliki.

He holds a degree in Computer Science from the Department of Applied Informatics of the University of Macedonia and a Master's degree in Business Informatics from the same University. He also holds a Master's degree in Engineering Business Management from the University of Warwick, United Kingdom. He recently completed the Master's degree program in "Adult Education" at the Hellenic Open University (HOU). He is currently studying in the undergraduate program of the School of Political Science at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.

In the past, he worked as an associate professor of Informatics in public secondary education (2001-2003). Since 2002, he has taught in almost all Vocational Training Institutes of Thessaloniki, in the Lifelong Learning Centers (LLCs) of Thessaloniki, Pylaia-Chortiatis, Kalamaria and Neapoli, as well as in several private Vocational Training Centers (formerly KEK). In early 2003, he was appointed through ASEP to the General Hospital of Thessaloniki, Agios Pavlos, serving as Head of the Informatics Department since 2010. From March 2022, he served as Inspector-Auditor at the National Transparency Authority in the Thessaloniki Regional Service and then from the summer of 2024 until June 2025, he assumed the duties of Deputy Governor at the General Hospital of Thessaloniki "G. Gennimatas". After being selected by ASEP, he was appointed to his position as Deputy Governor at the General Hospital of Thessaloniki "Agios Dimitrios".

At the same time, he is a certified Adult Educator and lecturer at the Training Institute of the National Center for Public Administration (EKDD). He speaks fluent English and fairly good German. He is a member of the Panhellenic Scientific Association of Health Informatics and the Adult Education Association. Member of the Associations of Parents and Guardians of kindergartens (2016-24) and elementary schools (2018 - present) of Asvestochori. Volunteer at "The Smile of the Child". In the past, he was an amateur basketball athlete.
