Samuel Kolb

An accomplished engineer in California, Samuel Kolb drew upon over two decades of experience in the technology field while serving as the senior director of engineering for SurveyMonkey in San Mateo. In this role, he held all engineering responsibilities for the company’s software-as-a-service (SaaS) platforms. Among other accomplishments, Samuel Kolb spearheaded initiatives that helped SurveyMonkey increase its revenue by double digits in both 2017 and 2018.

Prior to joining SurveyMonkey, Mr. Kolb held a number of leadership positions with technology companies in California, including serving as director of technology for Electronic Arts, engineering manager at Linden Lab, and senior programmer for Activision. He also stands out as the CEO and co-founder of Red Lozenge, Inc., a company that builds games for the health and fitness sectors.

Samuel Kolb holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from San Francisco State University. He is also a scrum master and completed allegory management training. An active member of the tech field, he holds patents for technology that tracks behavior and goal achievement. Additionally, he frequently participates in events, such as the Game Developers Conference (GDC), and serves as a mentor to women in technology.
