Konah Rufus is a Liberian journalist, broadcaster, editor, and media professional with years of experience in radio broadcasting, news editing, reporting, and public affairs. Known for his professionalism, balanced reporting, and commitment to ethical journalism, he has established himself as a respected voice in Liberia's media landscape.
Born on January 9, 1994, in Montserrado County, Liberia, Konah is the son of Apostle Rufus and Mother Fatu T. Rufus. He developed a passion for writing, public speaking, and storytelling from an early age, which inspired his career in journalism.
Konah is happily married to Marthalyn Sayekain Rufus. The couple has been married since 2023 and is blessed with two sons, Amos Rufus and Markon Ta'ali Rufus. He considers his family his greatest source of inspiration and motivation.
Konah began his education at Kingdom Harvest Academy in Oldest Congo Town and graduated from Kendeja High School in the ELWA Rehab Community in 2016. That same year, he earned a Certificate in Journalism from the Best Technical and Legacy Institute on the RIA Highway.
Committed to continuous learning, he later obtained a Certificate in Digital Marketing through the Dr. John Flomo Foundation/Google Africa in 2018 and completed professional journalism training at the Liberia Institute for Media Excellence (LIME). He is currently a Senior Student at the University of Liberia, pursuing a bachelor's degree in mass communication and media studies.
Konah began his professional media career as a Radio Announcer at Liberia Christian Broadcasting Network (LCBN Radio 102.3 FM), where he served from 2016 to 2018. During the same period, he taught at several schools in Paynesville, including St. Francis Academy and Christ Victory International School, contributing to the education and mentorship of young Liberians.
From 2018 to 2021, he worked as an Editor at Monrovia Latest News, where he was responsible for editing stories, maintaining editorial standards, and ensuring accurate and credible news reporting. Between 2020 and 2021, he also volunteered as a Senior Reporter for Dakphannah 24 News/Television (Online), covering governance, politics, and national affairs.
In March 2024, Konah joined Global Dream Radio 92.3 MHz as News Editor, serving until February 2025. There, he supervised newsroom operations, coordinated news coverage, and maintained high editorial standards.
He currently serves as the Assistant News Editor at Blaze Radio 90.7 FM, where he oversees newsroom activities and contributes to editorial planning and news production. In addition, he hosts the station's flagship current affairs program, "Talking Point," which features interviews with government officials, policymakers, civil society leaders, and other influential personalities on issues of national importance.
Throughout his career, Konah has developed expertise in journalism, news editing, broadcasting, interviewing, content writing, digital media, research, communication strategy, and public affairs.
