Andrea Ryan

My name is Andrea. I love fashion so much that I decided to go to Indiana University to Major in Apparel Merchandising and Fashion Design. I love weird and unique things, cute and whimsical. My favorite designer is Marchesa. Just looking at anything by Marchesa is a hobby of mine. It is all so beautiful. I have several fashion inspirations. Many of them are related to something having an incredible amount of detail. I love every film with Audrey Hepburn that I have seen (many). She is an inspiration of mine, along with Barbara Palvin. I sew almost every day. My favorite fashion items are necklaces and umbrellas. I just think that there is so much room for improvement for umbrella designs. They should be stronger and come in a larger array of styles and colors. That is something I am thinking about designing. Swimwear is another area I am considering because so many swimsuits are so plain. They could be so much more stylish but instead they are just plain fabric with patterns. Starting a fashion charity is something else I want to thing more about as I get older and start to enter my real career. I have a shop on etsy.com called Ethereal by kookaburralia. It allows me to get some of the built up creativity I have out for others to see. My other hobbies include hanging out with my friends and boyfriend, watching Doctor Who, work (at Kohl's), and anything I find fun at the time. I also love boating and going to the beach. Anything with a hint of adventure is where I'm at. Some day I want a kitten. I love playing with them and dream about going for walks with my soon to be gray female kitten named Madeline. Coffee is also an obsession of mine because it can literally turn any bad mood around for me. I have found that it is a very useful cure to all sorts of everyday problems. These are usually; laziness, tiredness, headaches, boredom, or lack of inspiration or excitement. I have recently taken a strong liking to mermaid stories. I'm not sure what it is about mermaids that I find so interesting but I feel like many girls go through a mermaid phase, and I'm in one now. More than anything I want to travel as much as possible during my lifetime. A goal of mine is to go to all 50 states, then to many, many countries. Baking will always have a special place in my heart too. I really love decorating cakes. My grandmother taught me how when I was about 12 and I've loved it ever since. oh yeah, I love music!
