Pavel Kordík

I work for CTU in Prague as a vice dean for development - my goal is to change the way how universities collaborate with companies. Using smart analytics and educational data mining, we can match-make companies and students with required skills. I teach data preprocessing, data mining and artificial intelligence classes and encourage my students to solve real projects. My research activities range from data mining automation to artificial intelligence, optimization and information visualization. I coordinate the Computational Intelligence research Group and some activities of our Data Science Laboratory.

As an entrepreneur, I cofounded unico.ai, to build a bridge between academia and industry. I also commercialize outcomes of our research in the Recombee company, where we build advanced recommender systems. With the help of artificial intelligence, our solution scales well and adapts to business problems of our customers.

I love my family, enjoy biking, cross country skiing and ice hockey.
