Ashley Kornacki

Hey everyone, I’m Ashley! I’m a mom of two beautiful girls, Penelope and Eloise, and I am currently on maternity leave with little Ellie (seen in pic). I am a Music teacher living in Windsor, ON, and have been teaching with the GECDSB for 15 years!

I have been a Music teacher for the entirety of my career as I hold a Music Education Degree from the University of Windsor. However, because I have been teaching in a small school, half of my teaching is K-8 Music and the other half of my teaching load has been Primary Prep Coverage. For my prep coverage, I have predominantly been teaching the entirety of the Arts box (music, drama, dance, visual arts) and some physical education. I also have lots of experience working in the GAINS room at my school!

This upcoming year I am moving to a new school! It's MUCH bigger which means that I will only be teaching Music; a much welcomed change :) This end of the school year is a little bitter sweet for me being on maternity leave, leaving a school that I've been at for 11 years and having to move into a new building while I'm “technically” not working.
