Korte Wamsley has been active in community service since High School. Korte setup a community fund raiser for disabled veterans by having a local cross town rival high school basketball tournament with all the varsity players from Oroville and Las Plumas high schools playing a game in wheel chairs. The fundraiser made $12,350 which went to local veterans hall.(see Photo of Korte shaking hands with president of Veterans hall in a wheel chair.)
Korte has been involved with Boy Scouts of America since 1969 and has served as a past commissioner of Scounting in Nevada. Korte has sponsored community fundraising for Alzheimer Association of Utah. Korte was Board Member in 2002-2004 of the Alzheimers Association in charge of fund raising while holding down a full time job as Regional Director of Long Term Care Insurance for General Electric. (see photos) Korte has served on numerous commitees in his local communities for fund raising for the homeless shelters, SPCA, and Primary Childrens Hospital of Utah.
