Kortisha Baker

Kortisha Yo’Londa Baker, born on May 11, 1989. She is a graduate of "Thee Fort Valley State University" (cum-laude) with a degree in Bachelors of Art in Mass Communication with a concentration in Journalism as well as Broadcasting.
While attending FVSU, she was involved in the school’s newspaper called "The Peachite." Took pictures of different events on campus as well as off campus. Had her own entertainment show on TV 21 in addition to writing her own scripts. She also wrote seven articles for “Voice of the Valley,” and was able to do her internship in the print building. While attending FVSU she received honors each spring at the Honors Convocations Program for students maintaining a GPA of 3.0 or better.
Once she graduated on May 7, 2011, she published her first children's book; "Will the little girl make a Friend?" Then in January of 2012 started substitute teaching in the public Richmond county school system and volunteered at three different elementary schools. She was a part of the Augusta Literary Festival at the Augusta Public Library on March 3, 2012. She sold several books at the event and was able to recite one of her poems. She participate every year in poetry reading at the Augusta Public Library. On November 22, 2013, Windsor Spring Elementary school recognized her on "Substitute Educator's Day" as one of the best substitute.
Now in 2014 she has published her second book, which is entitled "Don't Judge." She plains to write more EDUTAINMENT books for the youth and she has several enticing poems that are in the works to be published. One day she hopes to be a TV personality, so she can captivate the adolescents' mind in order for them to realize that they can be entertain as well as educated at the same time. She also wants them to know that they can be a game changer by not proving it to others, but to themselves.
