I fell in love with photography in 2001 and have been creating photographs ever since. With the birth of my daughter in June of 2008, I realized the importance of capturing those special moments in our lives so that we can enjoy those memories throughout our lives. In 2010, I formed Jarman Photo to be able to share my passion with others and to provide a service to create beautiful wall portraits of their families.
In 2010, I became the co-leader of the Knoxville SMUG, the local meetup group for SmugMug.com. And at the end 2011, I took over the leadership role of the Knoxville SMUG. Though Smugmug ended the local groups in the summer of 2013 in favor of a webinar presence, I still remain involved in Knoxville photographic community.
Other than being a photographer, I am also an IT Support Specialist at the Center for Career Development at The University of Tennessee. At the Center for Career Development, I maintain the office website and our "What Can I Do With This Major?" resource (which is offered on a subscription basis to Colleges and Universities); monitor and maintain the Hire-A-Vol software, which allows employers to post jobs and search student resumes and students to search posted jobs and research employers; manage the social media (Facebook and Twitter) for the office and I am responsible for hardware and software purchase and general system maintenance.
