Kortney Kurtz
My name is Kortney Kurtz and I am from St. Charles, Illinois. I am a freshman here at UGA, intending to major in Early Childhood Education. I simply cannot wait to have a classroom of my own to decorate, and a classroom full of children to educate. I want to either teach Kindergarten or Preschool when I finish up my degree. Where I will be living, nobody knows! I love to travel and have visited many and states and countries including Australia and London. I hope to study abroad in Africa and take classes where I will be interacting with the children that live there! I am also very passionate about photography. My friends think I’m crazy for taking so many pictures everywhere we go, but days, months, or years down the road, we spend hours laughing at the pictures I took. I also have a dying love for the game of volleyball. I have been playing for seven years, all year round. I played for my middle school and high school teams and I also played club volleyball every year during high school. Recently I made the club volleyball team here at UGA, and have loved every minute of it. Besides playing, I have also coached volleyball and managed boy’s volleyball teams. Playing volleyball is a lot of fun, but being able to teach a child a skill and watching them use it to win a game, melts my heart. Lastly, I am a lover of country music, which is why I made this website. Every since I was a baby, country music has been what hits home in my heart. Country music describes who I am, how I view life, and reminds me of how important my family is to me. I amaze people with my facts about country music artists and can sing almost every country song that is played on the radio. I have been to an uncountable amount of country music concerts, including the country music festival that I camped at for six days over summer!
