Kory Jessie
Kory Jessie is from New Orleans, Louisiana. He is a graduate of St. Augustine High School, Dillard University and he received his Masters in Education from Sam Houston State University. He has worked as an Advisor and Faculty Fellow for Freshman, an Admissions Counselor, volunteered as a Mentor for young Black males, a Teacher and is now working as a Math Department Chair for an Intermediate school campus. He has been performing spoken word and Hip Hop since college and has taken his talents into the classroom writing motivational rhymes and recording songs with his students. Kory is an extremely talented individual who KNOWS the future is in the YOUTH and it's up to us to teach and learn from them. Ko aka KoJessie aka Kooly has co-produced a spoken word DVD released in 2003., a spoken word CD in 2002 and a Hip Hop CD in 2004. His latest production entitled RHYME (Respectfully Helping Young Men Excel) is designed to motivate students and reinforce some mathematical concepts will be released this year along with instructional videos. From 2007-2011 it is estimated that approximately 500 CDs have been given to kids by Mr. Jessie aka Kooly. His Love, need and passion for music has led him to his latest endeavor of DJing. His resume includes poetry spots, school dances and birthday parties.
