Kory Kane, raised by his business minded mother seemed to be on a different path then most from the beginning. In 2006 Kory received much acclaim for his work in the rap group Chrome. The group was young and driven and found themselves in line for a record deal. However, youth, obstacles and personal differences eventually led the group to go their separate ways, although Kory remained undeterred. Immediately following, Kory invested himself and his talents into a local business, Hollywood in da Hood, where he is still currently a major contributing force. With this collaboration of brilliant minds The Playa T show was born, and is still currently running, making it over a decade of service and counting. The show provides a platform for independent artist to showcase their talents and gain exposer. He remains one of the shows producers to date.

In 2008 he released his first independent solo album, Sweet Success, which turned many heads and opened even more ears. In promoting his album, Kory manufactured his own merchandise as well as promotional tools. The following year, Kory incorporated his own business, Be Your Own Boss Incorporated, making him an Ohio business owner and operator well before the age of thirty. Simultaneously, his music reached the number one slot on Reverb Nations world charts in all genres, and his business expanded. This expansion was the creation of Money N the Mattress Media, a sub company of BYOB Inc.

Although presented with several different musical contracts, he has always been meticulously about the small print and therefore not easily swayed into record deals. It is safe to say Kory isn't at all the average artist. On a constant quest of self improvement, he decided to eliminate meat as part of his diet and study natural medicine. There are those who mistake his confidence and drive as discourteous or unrealistic, but to know Kory Kane is to know that he is a man of action, who is constantly revising his plan of action for further growth in both personal and business aspects.
