Erica Koup is a locally recognized journalist, communications expert, community leader and trailblazer. Erica has dedicated her career to following her heart which often has led her to being the only woman at the table. She has committed her future to working on progressive issues and moving Pennsylvania closer to fairness, equality, equity and justice for all people at work and in the community. Koup serves on the Central PA Gay and Lesbian Chamber advocating, educating and connecting the community on LGBT+ issues. As a life time learner and believer in education, Erica serves as Vice Chair of the Central Penn MBA advisory committee.

Erica was drafted as a linebacker by the Atlanta Steam of the Legends football League in 2016 and was with the team through the preseason. She had stints with the Georgia Falcon’s men’s semi- professional team in the Independent American Football League and Code Red in the Atlanta Women’s Flag football League. She returned to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania where she competed in PA women’s football position of Center and Corner. Erica pours her passion for sports into her monthly column with Susquehanna Style, Play by Play.

Erica received her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and American Government from University of North Georgia where she participated in the ROTC program during her enrollment. She also received a certificated in Social Media Marketing from Rutgers University.
