I'm a foster mom to 12 (and counting) amazing boys with special needs in India.

I am blessed to have grown up in a family with loving parents and 2 awesome siblings. After coming to India when I was 11, my eyes were opened to what life without a family looks like. From that age I realized that something needed to be done. I am capible of loving these children. In fact, as a Christian, I am called to love these children (James 1:27). Having the opportunity to invest in these boys' lives has been the most rewarding thing I have ever done. Of course, everything I do is for the glory of the one who gives us life:

Not many 21 year olds are starting their careers. Not many people can say they have a career that they are passionate about. I am humbled to get to be apart of something bigger than myself. Whether it's getting the boys into school, taking them to doctor visits, going on walks for ice-cream, or giving good-night kisses, I have never been so happy! I am content knowing this is exactly where God wants me. I am "Kourtney Akka" to Justin, Michael, Aaron, Nicky, Ian, Elijah, Andrew, Max, Phil, Aiden, Owen, and Isaiah...

and I wouldn't trade it for the world!
