Kovi Rose
Researcher, Scientist, and Communicator in Sydney, Australia
Hi there! I am an astrophysics PhD candidate at the Sydney Institute for Astronomy at the University of Sydney.
My work sits at the intersection of observational radio astronomy and large-scale data science — I spend as much time building pipelines and wrangling petabyte-scale datasets as I do pointing telescopes at the sky.
Much of my research centres on the identification of transient events across the radio sky; especially dwarf stars, supernovae, and long-period transients!
You may also know me as the founder and publisher of Fun Fact Science — a social media page designed for education and science communication — or as the co-host of the Nerd and the Scientist podcast.
