I am Professor of Medieval Literature in the Dept of English and Related Literature at the University of York, and Director of the Centre for Medieval Studies. I work on medieval literature, both Italian and English, and am the author of Chaucer and Italian Textuality (Oxford University Press, 2011) and Dante's Divine Comedy: A Reading Guide (Cambridge University Press, 2024).
