A little bit about me...
I teach Spanish at Boulder High School in Boulder, Colorado, and love to continue my own learning through various conferences and continued education. Teaching languages and cultures is so much fun, and as a teacher, I strive to build a love of them in my students.

If I could spend my time doing one thing it would be traveling the word! My husband and I recently traveled through Italy, Montenegro, and Greece - what an amazing trip! Two summers ago I took an incredible group of students to Costa Rica to study the language and experience the culture! It was so much fun to see my students use their Spanish while exploring Costa Rica - I would encourage all of my students to seek out these type of experiences! I also recently had the opportunity to live and teach in South Korea, traveling to Beijing, China while there. I have also traveled in Mexico, Guatemala, and the Bahamas.

Though I love seeing the world, I feel very fortunate to live in Colorado. In my spare time, I enjoy being with my family - my husband and two Bernese Mountain Dogs, Oskar and Montana. I try to spend time outdoors – hiking, camping, skiing, biking, and gardening. I also enjoy relaxing through yoga and/or reading.

I also really enjoy doing "techie" stuff - one of my focuses in the classroom is to incorporate effective technology resources to supplement classroom learning - creating what is otherwise known as a "blended learning" environment. I am currently running 2 blended learning Pilots at BHS, and am learning how to incorporate Chromebooks into my classroom! I serve as a "Google Ninja" contact at BHS, and am a member of BVSD's 21st Century Cohort.
