There are certain meals, snacks, drinks and desserts that are always present at my family gatherings or given as gifts to one another. I am addicted to all of them and therefore, I consider them crack recipes. Each crack recipe has its own story and its own fan club. I consider myself an avid member to all of them.
I grew up in Massachusetts and my palate was forced to expand when I traveled to Tanzania for the first time at the age of 13 years old. After trying my first fried grasshopper, I was willing to try anything and wanted to try everything. I moved to Charleston, South Carolina in 2010 and automatically entered myself into a vibrant culinary arena.
Charleston is still my home today and though I still represent my northern roots, my love for southern food is growing tremendously. I spend my days assisting a culinary publishing company and my nights cooking or trying whatever I haven't tasted yet.
I don't know where I will be next but I do know my crackbook of recipes will always be with me, and my urge to update it will continue.
