People often ask why Kraków and why recumbents ? Originally from the Isle Of Wight I first visited Kraków 8 years ago on a recommendation from a Polish friend and fell in love with the city, 1 year later I purchased a small apartment as a holiday home and visited at least 4 times a year. In 2012 I decided to leave my job of over 20 years and move permanently to Kraków but had to think of a way to earn a modest living not being able to speak much Polish. I have always been a cyclist and even raced for my local club many years ago but recently discovered the fun of recumbents and noticed that unlike the UK there were virtually no recumbents in the city and thought I could offer a different perspective to cycling, I am glad I did as everybody that rides one comments on how much they enjoyed the experience, I am also able to offer equipment that enables people with various disabilities the chance to ride a bicycle. We also sell, HASE & Brompton bikes, KMX karts, Brooks England products as well as many cool recycled gifts,accessories and souveniers made from used bike parts here in Krakow. Its not been easy being a woman in a male dominated cycling industry and people are still sometimes surprised when they ask for the manager and get lil ol me. Also restore and collect vintage bicycles in my spare time.
