Hire me

Hello, I'm Alex. As an explorer of the tiny, wondrous world of quantum physics, I currently reside in sunny Miami, Florida. I'm deeply passionate about uncovering the mysteries of applied electromagnetics, nanophotonics, metamaterials, and plasmonics, always in pursuit of the next scientific revelation.

My endeavors have led to over 170 published papers, five books and book chapters, and four patents, pushing the boundaries of nanotechnology. Notably, my contributions have been recognized with the gold medal of Nobel Laureate Zhores Alferov’s Foundation and the Early-Career Award in Nanophotonics.

I'm currently shaping minds and conducting cutting-edge research as a tenure-track Assistant Professor at Florida International University, following esteemed research positions at The University of Texas at Austin and CUNY Advanced Science Research Center.

My fascination doesn't stop at optics and metamaterials. I am deeply involved in explorations of extreme scattering engineering, nanoantennas, metasurfaces, and the optics of 2D transition-metal dichalcogenides, along with studies on low-loss dielectric nanostructures.
