I graduated in 2015 from the University of Saskatchewan with a Bachelor of Arts in History and French. My Bachelor of Education will be completed in August 2016 through Queen's University in Kingston, ON.

I have had the opportunity to work with students aged 12-18 in both elementary and secondary settings in both my teachable subjects. I have also had the chance to work with amazing youth through Pathways to Education, engaging at-risk youth in diverse programming.

Subsequently, I have developed my own philopshy of education in which I believe education should develop resilient, inclusive, well-rounded students who are able to successfully contribute to a constantly changing society. I believe it is fundamentally important for me to understand that all my students are diverse learners. I will work to engage all my students in authentic, active learning that links to their interests and abilities.

Students should know that my classroom will always be a safe space where diversity and different opinions will be valued and encouraged. I aim to be not just a teacher, but a key adult for any student that needs a champion to encourage their learning, growth, and success.
