Krisan Murphy
North Carolina Crystal Coast
Born and reared on a cattle farm in Mississippi, I moved on to rolling suitcases down airport corridors in Europe and criss-crossing the roadways in America until I kissed the sandy beaches of the Crystal Coast. I am a writer, employed as a taxi driver for my teenagers. My husband (who built a fire pit in our backyard for sharing s'mores and long talks with family and friends) and I cherish our decades together and our four children. I make it my goal to focus on things that last forever, like loving Jesus and serving people.
I write for InsiderInfo, a community and beach resource guide, and review books for Children'sLit. I received a B.A. in English at the University of Texas at Arlington, wrote a community column for the Fayetteville Observer, received awards from Carteret Writers, was published in Chicken Soup for the Soul: Parenthood and Chicken Soup for the Soul: Devotionals for Wives, worked as a public school, private school, and homeschool teacher, and clocked innumerable hours cheering my kids on and off the stage and field.
