I'm a European policy analyst from Vancouver, Canada, but don't let that fool you - the EU is where my real passion lies!
After studying in France and Germany, I wrote my Master's thesis on Euro area reform and now work as an external consultant doing EU research and policy evaluation, predominantly for the European Commission.
I conduct quantitative and qualitative research and analysis. My academic background is in both economics and political science, meaning that I feel equally comfortable developing econometric models and analysing position papers from stakeholders.
Writing is a central part of my life, both personally and professionally. In addition to my own creative and technical writing, I enjoy translating German and French literature as a hobby. I also have professional experience as an editor and proofreader, particularly for non-native speakers of English.
Outside the office (and the classroom), I've also received international accolades for public speaking, debate, and legal writing in the Jessup Moot Court Competition and Model European Union.
In my spare time, when I'm not absorbed in a good book, you might catch me haunting the history museums and art galleries of central and eastern Europe. True to my homeland, you can also find me in the great outdoors, hiking in the mountains or biking in the Brandenburg countryside.
