My career as a communications professional includes more than 13 years of combined experience in print journalism, broadcast journalism, news radio, public relations and social media management. A majority of that time has been devoted to digital communications, including website and social media management, training, strategy development and implementation, content creation and performance metrics. With my extensive knowledge of social media and storytelling, I love helping people, nonprofits and brands tell their stories using new technologies and platforms to expand their reach, increase their impact and grow their community of engaged supporters.

My love for social media is matched by my passions for learning, leading and giving back. I am on the boards of directors for Houston PetSet and the Houston Press Club. Houston Press Club is a nonprofit that actively promotes and defends First Amendment guarantees of freedom of the press. We also provide scholarships to journalism students through our foundation. Houston PetSet is an umbrella nonprofit that provides annual grants to animal charities in Houston. We have given close to $1 million to hundreds of rescues and other animal welfare-related organizations in the last decade. I also volunteer with nonprofits in the Greater Houston area to help them develop efficient, effective social media strategies to share their stories and missions with new audiences.
