Krishna Kumar
Student, Writer, and Filmmaker in Madurai
Hi, I’m Krishna. I’m a student living in Madurai. I am a fan of technology, reading, and food. I’m also interested in movies and writing. You can read my blog with a click on the button above.
I am currently doing B.Voc Digital Journalism at DDU Kaushal Kendra Department, LoyolaCollege, Chennai. My Native is Kerala. Then, our family got shifted to Madurai. I studied at TVS Matriculation HigherSecondary School, Palanganatham, located at the heart of the city. It is one of the reputed school in the southern region of Tamil Nadu. So, I developed a habit of waking up early.
Though I studied in a reputed school, I was an average student in my school days, alwaysconcentrating on non-academic activities. In childhood, I had always focused on-screenappearance in media. I do not know anything beyond that. Then, I used to relieve my stressby designing photos using Photoshop software, as I had professional training at ArenaAnimation.
My Dad, worried about me, because of knowing nothing other than cinema, allotting moretime to media. So, he insisted me read a newspaper. Once I started reading newspaper, itbecomes a habit and I started to know things other than cinema. Then, I got introduced into literature, which is the most turning point in my life. It changed my perspective of view towards the world. My Dad usually loves to see movies starring Kamal Hassan, with me. So, I happened to saw a movie called “Uttama Villain”. I was awestruck by the film’s screenplay, nuances, leadacting and music. I took inspiration from the film’s lead, Kamal Haasan. From then, I got to know about technical aspects of visual media like editing, designing and also the critical aspects of writing. My family become a pillar of strength to me during that process as they encouraged and developed my reading skills and most importantly, they were with me during my difficult days which I am remembering now with utmost love. Then, I started to learn more about politics (Which is much more interesting than a cinema). .I came to know about the profession of journalism, which looked better profession for me asmy areas of interest and journalism are mutually inclusive. I usually do not stick to onesubject. I want to learn different things irrespective of academic curriculum. So, I conclude with a Q&A session of Kamal Haasan, which always motivates me,“How do you able to allot time for reading?” “We, the people do not allot specific time for love & sorrow in our life and so is reading to me."
