Kris Michael

Artist, Writer, Producer, DJ, Zombie obsessed, Nerd, Humanitarian, and lover of all things Pop Culture with nearly two decades of hands-on production and marketing experience in both traditional and interactive media and entertainment industries, Kris Michael is currently a freelance project manager and product designer for a variety of clients in the US and Asia.

Prior to his freelance work, Kris worked at three of the largest video game software publishers in the world; Activision Blizzard, Electronic Arts, and THQ. There he worked in both game development and marketing positions overseeing projects for some of those company’s flagship licensed properties such as Batman, Kung-Fun Panda, Lord of the Rings, South Park, Spiderman, Transformers, Wolverine, and WWE as well as original properties such as Homefront, Metro, Mercenaries, Saboteur, Saints Row, Tony Hawk and more.

Kris’ career started as a teenager when he and a group of friends began creating and self-publishing graphic novels under the name Sy-Co Comics. Through his publishing company he developed relationships with companies like 3DO, Netscape, Nintendo, and Silicon Graphics (SGI), which lead to his interest in trying to find ways of migrating traditional media such as comic books to digital platforms.

His success as a young entrepreneur and his creativity eventually caught the attention of several online start-ups and traditional companies making the jump into new media which lead to several key creative and management positions on high profile projects for companies such as Comedy Central, MTV, Pandemic Bioware, Playboy, The Walt Disney Company and more.

Kris is a member of IGDA (International Game Developer's Association), a Pro Tools Certified Operator, had technology training at Silicon Studio, and is a graduate of The Los Angeles Film School where he studied Entertainment Business Management and Sound Engineering.
