Kristopher Nolt
Strategic Marketing and Communications Executive in Denver, PA, US
I’m Kris, a marketing and communications leader who’s built a career at the intersection of higher education, athletics, and nonprofit organizations. After graduating from Slippery Rock University’s Sport Management program, I got my start in collegiate athletics at Union College (N.Y.) and later served as Public Relations Manager at Lancaster Catholic High School.
My next chapter took me to metro Detroit, where I was Communications Manager for USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program and USA Hockey Arena. Those years sharpened my skills in media relations and storytelling on a national stage.
In 2019, I returned home to Pennsylvania and joined Alvernia University. Since then, I’ve helped drive record enrollment, philanthropy, and brand visibility, while championing student voices and elevating faculty and executive thought leadership. In 2023, I stepped into the role of Executive Director of Marketing and Communications, leading a talented team and guiding the university’s brand strategy into the future. I’m also pursuing my MBA at Alvernia, building on my commitment to lifelong learning.
Outside of Alvernia, I partner with organizations across the country as a freelance marketing and PR consultant. Closer to home, I serve on the board and chair the development committee of the Animal Rescue League of Berks County, combining my communications background with my passion for animal welfare.
At the center of it all is my family—my wife, Katelynn, our son, Easton, and our two dogs, Archer and Mia—who keep life in Denver, PA, full of joy and purpose.
