Four years ago I left my sunny, beachside origins for the life of a web-footed duckling at the University of Oregon. Having recently graduated, I am in the process of finding my calling in the PR field. My ambition is to find my passion, pour my heart into it, and do it better than anybody else. While at the University of Oregon I studied public relations and business administration, among a plethora of other activities. Some worth mentioning:
- My study abroad experience in Barcelona, Spain during Fall Semester of 2010 - where I developed a passion for travel
- 3 rowdy football seasons and FOUR bowl games, including 2 Rose Bowls & 1 National Championship. GO DUCKS!
- A 4-year membership in Delta Gamma Sorority, where I met a number of lifelong friends and various leadership and philanthropic opportunities
- Every summer, I have also had the opportunity to further my professional experience with internships relating to public relations, sales, marketing, and event planning.
I try to live my life under the "Yes" Philosophy, something I borrowed from the movie "Yes Man." In the film, Jim Carey's character is challenged to say "yes" to every proposition people ask of him, no matter how proposterous. Although the movie takes the challenge to certain extremes, I have embraced this philosophy and discovered that the more you open yourself up to new experiences, more windows of opportunity open up to you in return.
I am both anxious and excited as I enter the real world as a recent grad. I plan to roll with the punches, get the most out of every relationship I build, and seize every opportunity to learn and grow as a person.
