Kristen Murrell

Born and raised in a small bavarian themed ski town in the Kootenays, Kristen now bases herself in Vancouver, BC where she is in the process of studying Industrial Design at Emily Carr University of Art and Design. She has decided to take the winter semester off and is working at a heli-ski operation in interior BC in hopes of gaining more experience in the field by talking to guides and other experienced outdoor enthusiasts on what they would like to see in outdoor gear.
When Kristen is not somewhere in the mountains, she can be found in a woodshop, a classroom or a studio working on her design practice. She enjoys writing, photography and fine arts and would like to incorporate all of these passions into her design practice- including her love for the outdoors.
