Kristen Cici

Kristen Cici is the founder of The Advancement Company, which provides evaluation assistance to nonprofit organizations, government agencies, businesses, and educational institutions. Kristen has been involved with nonprofits all of her adult life and most of her youth as a volunteer, board member, staff member, and consultant. She has conducted evaluations for a breadth of different organizations, including the MS Society, Twin Cities Pride, Baby Steps, and Normandale Community College. Her educational background includes a BA and MA, and she is currently working on her dissertation, "Evaluating Social Media Use and Nonprofits’ Quest for Effectiveness," her PhD in Evaluation at the University of Minnesota. Kristen is an experienced speaker and presenter and has presented to a range of audiences from smaller audiences at the Minnesota Council of Nonprofit's Annual Conference to large audiences at the American Evaluation Association Annual Conference. Her evaluation training workshops have been used to train small groups of nonprofit staff to all of a foundation's grantees. She also has written for the Nonprofit Quarterly on her knowledge in evaluation and social media. Kristen also owns The Woof Room, a dog daycare and hotel in Roseville, MN and Deckci Decor, an event planning and decor company that services over 250 weddings per year.
