KRISTEN HOWERTON

Kristen is the mom of four children within four years via birth and adoption, and has been blogging at Rage Against the Minivan as a coping skill since 2004 In addition to writing at her personal blog, Kristen id also the co-owner and editor-in-chief of the popular blogging news magazine ShePosts. Kristen is also an adjunct professor in the psychology department at Vanguard University, where she teaches on diversity, counseling skills and addictive behaviors. Kristen uses her background as a family therapist to write an advice column for the local family magazine OCFamily and is also a contributing author to the Orange County Register. Kristen has also had essays published at MSNBC, Anti-Racist Parent, Divine Caroline, The Stir, Yahoo, Babble, Work It, Mom, BlogHer, and Adoptive Families Magazine.

Kristen has done numerous television appearances, including being interviewed on The View, CNN, MSNBC, Good Day LA, and The Today Show. She is also a dynamic speaker, and has been asked to speak at many conferences, including Mom2.0, The Idea Camp, The Christian Alliance for Orphans Summit, Together for Adoption, Bloggy Boot Camp, and The Casual Blogger's Conference.
