Washington, D.C.

Welcome!

I have worked as a Liaison Services Librarian and a Liaison and Outreach Librarian at the University of Michigan and the University of Maryland, Baltimore. In Maryland, I worked alongside nursing faculty to implement structured evidence-based practice modules across the curriculum, wrote an in-depth report about the library for the accreditation of the school of nursing, and provided reference, instruction and outreach services to the faculty, staff, students and community members across the state of Maryland.

I attended graduate school at the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where I worked as a graduate assistant in the Health Sciences Library. I also have previous experience working at Hanson Services, INC., an in-home healthcare company in Cleveland, Ohio as the Manager of Client Services.

As a librarian today with information growing at an exponential rate I believe one of the most important things is to teach and empower those we work with desire to become fluent in information literacy. Of course there are many ways to do that but it all begins with networking and illustrating how both literacy and the library can change lives.
