Kristen Romilly

Kristen has experience helping organizations with challenges and opportunities related to environmental affairs, sustainability, communications, events, and fund development. Most recently, Kristen worked with a large multinational electronics retailer and lead initiatives such as environmental and government compliance and reporting, national electronics recycling programs, and carbon accounting and tracking. In addition to this, she consulted on and contributed to the enterprise corporate social responsibility reports and worked with internal and external stakeholder on emerging green business.

Kristen graduated from the University of Victoria with a Bachelor of Arts degree, with a major in political science and minor in Italian studies. Completing a Master of Arts degree in 2009 in Professional Communication with a specialization in International and Intercultural Communication from Royal Roads University, in Victoria, BC, Kristen developed her editing, writing, and project management skills at an advanced level. During her studies, Kristen focused her research on issues relating to environmental sustainability and prevention of greenwashing in relation to consumer products and labeling standards.

In early 2009, Kristen began her blog "Communicating Credibility: In Verde Veritas?, dedicated to exploring issues associated with sustainability, the environment, consumer awareness, greenwashing, and socially responsible communications and marketing.
