Kristen Watkins

Kristen is a Sustainability Program Specialist at Recology in San Francisco. She works to design and implement innovative new recycling and landfill diversion programs to help the City of San Francisco reach its goal of zero waste.
Prior to working for Recology, Kristen worked on several international development projects, including one designing more sustainable waste management systems for municipalities in eastern Nicaragua with MIT Co-Lab. She previously worked for organizations such as Ashoka's Changemakers and One Laptop per Child, developing a passion for implementing innovative ideas globally.
Kristen is also the Founder and CEO of College Fantasy Gymnastics, a fantasy sports league for gymnastics fans. Kristen is a former collegiate gymnast, and founded Fantasy Gym to provide a more engaging way for fans to follow college gymnastics.
Kristen has a B.S. in Planning and Political Science, as well as a Masters in City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
