Krister Johnson
New York City
Krister Johnson is a comedy writer and performer living in New York City. He has written extensively for television, web series, magazines, old fashioned books, and occasionally, advertising billboards.
Most recently, Krister was the Head Writer at MyDamnChannel.com, writing and producing their daily live comedy talk show on YouTube. In 2010 and 2011, Krister was a staff writer for Comedy Central’s Onion SportsDome. Krister was a contributing joke writer for Saturday Night Live’s “Weekend Update” for nine seasons. He has also written for numerous publications including The New York Times, Entertainment Weekly, GQ, and once—amazingly—had an ongoing column in Cosmopolitan about his dating life.
As a performer, Krister is one half the faux Christian acoustic duo God’s Pottery, which has performed across America and Europe, released an album on Comedy Central Records, and appeared as finalists on NBC’s Last Comic Standing.
Krister currently lives in Brooklyn with his wife, son, and cat Steve.
