Dallas, Texas

From a young age, i always knew i wanted to become a teacher. When I graduated from high school, my parents could not afford to send me to college, so I worked full time and went to college part-time. Eventually in the fall of 1998, i realized how much i was missing out on by not finishing my education, so transfered to the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and with fininancial aid to help me fullfill my dream of becoming a teacher.

Upon graduating, I moved to Mesquite, Texas and began teaching 5th Grade Science at Amber Terrace Intermediate School, in DeSoto, Texas. In 2005, I began teaching 8th Grade Science at Agnew Middle School in Mesquite, Texas where I have blossomed as a teacher. In the spring of 2005, I met my future husband, Mario, and we were married in June 2009. I hope to further my education by beginning my Master's in Educational Technolgy later this year.
