Performance:

Ever since she could sing Michael Jackson songs into her hairbrush, Kristi's had an itch to perform. She popped up in commercials like Healthy Choice and stole the spotlight when she won the award for "Best Female Entertainer" at the Young Artist Awards. She blew away star maker Rodney Jerkins (producer of everyone from Lady Gaga and Beyonce, to Kelly Clarkson and Michael Jackson) in an audition and from that moment on, knew it was time to trade in her hairbrush for a studio mic.

After studying with renowned vocal coach Roger Love and Norine Xavier of West Coast Dance, one of her first projects (the girl group 3G's) signed to Hollywood Records. They scored a prized spot on MTV's TRL tour and a gold record on The Princess Diaries soundtrack. Kristi was then chosen to head a group of her own - Hope 7. Less than a year after her band was finalized, the pretty California girl with big brown eyes and an even bigger voice had scored a platinum-selling hit. "Breakthrough," a fiery anthem about taking control, is featured on two soundtracks (one for Disney's movie The Cheetah Girls and another for Legally Blonde 2).

Kristi is well known throughout the Conejo Valley and has worked extensively with Young Artists Ensemble, Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center, and Cabrillo Music Theatre.

Teaching:

Kristi has been teaching voice for over 10 years. It all started when she was asked to sub a voice class at West Coast Dance Theatre in Los Angeles. Although she had no prior teaching experience she was an instant hit. Her flawless vocal technique (developed with Celebrity vocal coach Roger Love) and her ability to teach students how to perform and connect with songs skyrocketed Kristi into the teaching community. Since then, she has been sought after for private instruction by both young and seasoned performers. Kristi has Musically Directed countless talent shows, showcases, and main-stage productions and is known for her fun and energetic teaching style as well as getting her students to go above and beyond their comfort level.
