Kristin Smith
Life Coach and Author in Lake Jackson, Texas
Kristin wants to live in a world where everyone lives a life of fulfillment and purpose; a world filled with people creating their dreams, living their desires, and celebrating their purpose; a world in which cubicles don’t exist and everybody gets to be what they want to be “when they grow up”.
As a certified professional life coach Kristin has worked extensively with non-profit organizations to bring that world at least a little further into existence by guiding others to creatively embrace the lifestyle they desire. Her uniquely synergistic coaching approach blends personal spirituality with evidence based methods to encourage a life that is holistically authentic . For over five years, she has dedicated herself to helping dozens of men, women, and children break free of the patterns stifling their potential and in so doing discover, design, and seize the life they really want.
Kristin is a member of The Meehl Foundation’s intensively trained DBT treatment team, and a frequent contributor to their blog. She appears regularly at their intensive “Breakthrough to Recovery” and “Breakthrough to Authenticity” retreats, and is currently penning a book to supplement her unique coaching method. She completed DBT skills training through Behavioral Tech™ and studied both yoga and meditation with acclaimed neuroscientist and author C. Alexander Simpkins. She received interfaith ordination on June 26, 2015, and LCIA certificat on November 22, 2015.
When she is not busy making the world a better place, you can usually find her sipping quality tea, nose deep in the newest publication on spirituality, working toward a doctorate in interreligious dialogue, whipping up a delicious gluten free dessert, barefoot by a fire pit (preferably outdoors), vicariously indulging acute wanderlust, falling in love with beautiful words, or asking the question “Did you know…?” for the hundredth time.
