Kristin Valadez

Howdy! My name is Kristin Valadez and I will be graduating in May of 2014 with a Bachelor's of Science in Animal Science from Texas A&M University. Upon graduation, I plan on beginning a Master's program in human Occupational Therapy during the Fall of 2015. I am originally from McAllen, Texas and was blessed to have the amazing opportunity of spending July-November of 2013 studying at the University of Queensland in Brisbane, Australia. My time in Australia was an eye-opening experience that allowed for me to gain a fresh global perspective of the world and its various cultures. I believe it has greatly expanded my thinking and has fueled my desire to gain a more complete understanding when introduced to new ideas and viewpoints that may be different than those I grew up around. This background picture is actually an image I captured while visiting Noosa Beach in Queensland, Australia.

I am very excited to be the new Health and Fitness Independent Living Facilitator at BVCIL. I volunteered here in the past and absolutely love the positive, encouraging work that we do. I am so excited to see what we can accomplish through the Health and Fitness program during my time here!
