Kristina Birk is a Ukrainian-born American writer, actress, producer and model. She is the middle child of a Soviet cobbler and a nurse. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, Kristina’s family moved from Ukraine, and started traveling internationally, directly leading to her ability to speak five languages.

Kristina began her stage and writing path at age five. Her whole childhood and teenage years were centered around modeling and performing in various fashion events and dance performances across Europe. According to Kristina's family, from the day she learned to read, she was never seen without a book or notebook where she was creating her stories restlessly.

Enrolling at the Academy of National Economy to study business and linguistics at age 16 helped Kristina fully commit to her growing interest towards writing - she started writing her first novel, “Kasmas”, an anti-Soviet fairytale. “Kasmas” later gained literary interest from the State Library representatives in Moscow. Kristina finished translating the book into English in 2014.

Since Kristina's arrival to NYC in 2012, she's never stopped writing or performing. Her first biggest artistic inspiration became:

The Orphans Productions (http://www.orphanstheatrecompany.com) - a NY and LA based group of creatives producing their original content for film and theatre. Joining The Orphans led to her involvement with six original theatre and film projects produced by the group.

2015 brought Kristina a series of significant writing opportunities – in April she was hired as an official translator for Gerard Depardieu's play “15 minutes du Metro” performed in Moscow and Paris. In May she performed as a creative writer for the Coach commercial for Mother’s day starring Mariel and Langley Hemingway, followed by her second original play "The Legion" (in which she played a mental patient) premiering in August in SoHo, NY. Kristina finished 2015 with a screenplay for her first short film "Zenith".

In January 2016 Kristina relocated to Los Angeles, California where she is currently working on "Zenith" and "Black, White, Read", a brand new experimental short film created in collaboration with the LA Orphans Productions.
