Kristi Newhouse

Cape Coral, Florida

Happy is the woman who knows she is loved, and Ms. Kristi Newhouse knows very well what a blessed existence she has been gifted with. Being able to enjoy the fun things in life has made Kristi Newhouse more appreciative of and grateful for the littlest things that life has continued to shower her with. Being able to witness a lot of sadness and joy in the course of her professional career, has made Kristi stronger and more reliable as a person and as a community member. Because there will always be someone who needs professional help from people like her, Kristi never closes her heart to the plight of others. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Kristi Newhouse has dedicated her career in the area of child welfare and mental health. Ms. Newhouse is passionate about helping children, adolescents and their families to find hope and genuine happiness.

Glad to have enjoyed so many blessings in life, Ms. Kristi Newhouse enjoys sharing herself with those she interacts with everyday, whether friend or acquaintance. Ms. Newhouse talks very affectionately about her friends and is proud of her lifelong friendships. Kristi feels very lucky to still remain in very close relationships with friends that she went to elementary school with. “Some of my closest friends are those individuals that I met over 30 years ago! These are the friendships that have truly seen all of the hardships in my life, as well as the amazing accomplishments.” Even though Kristi moved from New York to Florida in the middle of her junior year of high school, she has been able to nurture these friendships over the years.

On the family front, Ms. Kristi Newhouse loves her family immensely: her husband Nate; her son Nathan Christopher; her daughter Kennedy Rose; and their 7-year-old yellow Labrador named Hope. For Kristi, her family is the most cherished gift that she has been given. She knows it is not easy to raise a family and the role of motherhood is often challenging.

“As a mother, you could literally go to bed with a million regrets and a million reasons to feel defeated. This is not healthy, or helpful for anyone. I have decided to laugh at the small stuff, learn from the big stuff and remind myself that tomorrow is my friend!”
