Kristin Geer
Minneapolis
In 2005, after battling ovarian cancer, Kristin Geer left her career in television news to establish Wall to Wall Media, a video production company. Her main objective in doing so was to document the challenges she and her husband Brad faced while trying to build a healthy and environmentally-friendly home using only non-carcinogenic and non-toxic building materials. The show Blueprint for Green followed them through that process.
Kristin Geer went on to produce other successful television shows, such as Kent Hrbek Outdoors, Cook What You Catch, and the Gopher Coaches' Shows. She also produced and directed high-end corporate videos and commercials for major corporations like Cargill, 3M, Lund Boats, and KLN Enterprises.
Geer also founded the Cancurables Foundation as a way to reach out to women across the country to help educate them about ovarian cancer, which is known as a silent and deadly killer. The primary mission of the Cancurables is to raise money for the development of effective early screening tests. Today, Geer serves as a keynote speaker and workshop leader, professional emcee, and media trainer who helps businesses and organizations motivate their audiences and obtain their goals.
In her free time, Kristin Geer most enjoys spending time with her husband and their three-year-old. She also maintains her physical health through various activities, including golf, yoga, and running. She attends the Colonial Church and participates in various charity events, including serving on the Benefit Committee for the PACER Foundation. Geer very much enjoys genealogy, cooking creative meals, reading, music concerts, and immersing herself in the arts.
