Kristin Nicole
Miami
Hi, my name is Kristin Nicole and welcome to a girl’s kitchen. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Grand Canyon University and I am currently a graduate student in New Media Journalism at Full Sail University. I have a passion for writing and helping others. I started my first blog soapnights.com with intentions of an advice column, and most recently started agirlskitchen focused on our love of food.
I discovered my passion for writing when I was 15 years old, just grabbed a pen and started writing poems. But I truly realized my passion about 6 years ago when I started helping others with advice and writing about food and important topics like the Breed Specific Legislation Laws, it gave me a sense of purpose.
Since the target audience for this website is largely …… a girl’s kitchen isn’t just about food and recipe’s, we are about much more. You know when you have a party or a get together how you always end up in the kitchen talking about everyone and everything, that’s the purpose of this website, to have a comfortable, casual conversation about topics such as cooking and healthy living, relationships, and more.
For instance, some of my favorite publications include…. The interview with Chef Shikany, The Charity Water Event and the Wishes 2 Walk Event.
In my free time, I love to write and cook, so you will be able to see some of my creative and fun recipes on my website as well as reports on topics that I am passionate about, such as the Pit Bull ban in Miami.
As I complete my master’s degree in new media journalism over the next couple months, I am pursuing positions in writing and editing. I am also pursing my passion as an advice columnist.
My ultimate career and life goals include writing and editing for a website like Refinery29 or a Magazine where I can write stories I love and stories I am passionate about.
