Australian actor, writer and presenter Kristy Best first came to attention after receiving a first-time filmmaker grant from METROSCREEN/Screen NSW for her short dark comedy Something Fishy, which led to her hosting the ABC2 documentary series Sunday Best. She later became the channel host for Nickelodeon Australia & New Zealand, earning a Logie Award nomination for Best Children’s Entertainment Program.
Alongside her presenting career, Kristy continued to act across theatre, television and film, appearing in productions for Queensland Theatre Company, Griffin Theatre Company and Sydney Theatre Company.
Her television credits include Doctor Doctor (Nine), Reef Doctors (ABC/US), and The Wilds (Amazon Prime), while film credits include Send Help, produced and directed by Sam Raimi, Street Fighter directed by Kitao Sakurai, and the upcoming Aussie feature, Fangs.
Kristy also works extensively in voice and audiobook performance, with a particular passion for character and accent work. Alongside acting, she continues to develop original screen projects, with a focus on dark comedy, psychological storytelling and female-driven narratives.
