Krystalle Dickson
My name is Krystalle Dickson and this will be my 5th year. I am originally from Barrie, Ontario. I have degrees in Primary and Junior Education as well as Child and Family Studies. Before I decided to go to university, I studied Early Childhood Education and worked in daycare for about 5 years. Five years ago I decided to move to Kuwait to teach and had such an amazing experience! Working with a variety of students and families was very memorable. In my spare time I enjoy reading, writing, travelling and spending time with my pets. I also volunteer with animal welfare organizations here in including fostering and rescuing abandoned and neglected animals.
I believe in authentic, hands on learning experiences that reach each and every child. Regurgitation and memorization are not skills that I teach my students - but rather I equip them with the skills to learn their own way and to solve problems. I feel that as an educator, it is my duty and honour to assist students in becoming productive members of a global society who possess effective critical thinking skills, exhibit compassion towards their peers and the community, and are current in the ever changing knowledge of the world. Empowering students to become active members of their world through quality, inquiry based learning is an incredible passion of mine.
